Gorkhi-Terelj National Park — 4 Days
Overview
A relaxed four-day escape into the granite valleys of Gorkhi-Terelj, blending nomadic ger stays with easy hikes and the towering Genghis Khan statue.
Just a short drive northeast of Ulaanbaatar, Gorkhi-Terelj National Park feels like a different world. Granite outcrops rise from rolling alpine meadows, the Tuul River winds between forested slopes, and herders still move their animals across the valleys much as they have for generations. This four-day journey is an unhurried introduction to the Mongolian outdoors, ideal for travellers who want genuine nature and culture without long days on rough roads.
You will sleep in a comfortable riverside ger camp, hike to the hilltop Aryabal Meditation Temple, photograph the famous Turtle Rock, and stand beneath the colossal Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue. There is time to ride horses across the steppe, share tea with a local nomadic family, and simply slow down under some of the clearest night skies you will ever see.
The pace is gentle and the logistics are simple, making this an excellent first taste of Mongolia or a calming add-on to a longer trip. All arrangements are tailored to your dates and interests through a personal inquiry, with no online booking required.
